HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited (the “Trustee”) is under a duty to take into custody and hold the
assets of Starhill Global Real Estate Investment Trust (the “Trust”) and its subsidiaries (the “Group”) in trust for the unitholders.
In accordance with the Securities and Futures Act, Chapter 289 of Singapore, its subsidiary legislation and the Code on
Collective Investment Schemes, the Trustee shall monitor the activities of YTL Starhill Global REIT Management Limited
(the “Manager”) for compliance with the limitations imposed on the investment and borrowing powers as set out in the trust
deed dated 8 August 2005, first supplemental deed dated 20 April 2006, amended and restated deed dated 8 August 2007,
second amended and restated deed dated 10 December 2007, second supplemental deed dated 22 April 2010, third
supplemental deed dated 7 June 2010, fourth supplemental deed dated 17 March 2014 and third amending and restating
deed dated 4 August 2016 (the “Trust Deed”) between the Manager and the Trustee in each annual accounting period and
report thereon to unitholders in an annual report.
To the best knowledge of the Trustee, the Manager has, in all material respects, managed the Group during the year ended
30 June 2017 covered by these financial statements, set out on pages 95 to 136 in accordance with the limitations imposed
on the investment and borrowing powers set out in the Trust Deed.
